Dates have been announced for Bahrain’s premier garden show next year which will bring together local and international companies and institutions, investors and agricultural experts.
The Bahrain International Garden Show (BIGS) 2026 will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad, from April 1-5 at Exhibition World Bahrain, Sakhir.
The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) yesterday invited all entities and companies from Bahrain and abroad to participate in the international event.
“This will allow them to expand their commercial opportunities and build strategic partnerships in an interactive environment that opens up broad horizons for growth and success, contributing to the achievement of the kingdom’s sustainable development goals,” said a statement.
BIGS 2025, which was held earlier this year in February, witnessed an exceptional turnout, with 128 exhibitors from 20 countries and more than 20,000 visitors, including industry professionals, investors, students and gardening enthusiasts.
The show builds on a long record of success, establishing itself as a regional and international platform for showcasing the latest innovations in horticulture and agricultural technology.
It also serves as a unique platform bringing together investors, farmers, researchers and experts from various countries to exchange ideas and expertise, contributing to enhanced agricultural production and food security at both local and global levels.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Council for Women president and NIAD advisory board chairperson, opened the international show in February
Since its establishment in 2004, BIGS has become a platform for experts and enthusiasts to develop their expertise and knowledge with the latest practices in the sector.
Historically, Bahrain was renowned for its fertile lands, abundant water sources and prolific produce, earning it the reputation of a lush garden. Historical records reveal that Bahrain was famous for its freshwater springs both on land and at sea.
Bahrain aims to increase its vegetation cover while supporting its plans to achieve the goals of ‘Forever Green’ and the ‘Middle East Green Initiative’, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and achieving net-zero emissions by 2045.
NIAD continues to implement sustainable agricultural projects in Bahrain, while Net Zero remains a leading regional company in climate technology and environmental digitalisation.
