The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has launched its first graduate development programme, GP15, a strategic initiative aimed at cultivating the next generation of financial industry leaders.
The programme, a first of its kind for the CBB, is designed to support 15 Bahraini graduates with comprehensive training aligned with global best practices. It seeks to reinforce Bahrain’s position as a dynamic financial hub and support the kingdom’s sustainable development goals.
“GP15 represents a long-term investment in national human capital by equipping young professionals with the practical skills needed to drive innovation and develop future-ready leaders in the financial services sector,” said CBB Governor Khalid Humaidan.
According to the CBB’s executive director of corporate services Mohamed Abdulkarim, the six-month programme will go beyond conventional training.
It will combine hands-on, project-based exercises with realistic workplace simulations, professional mentoring, and on-site visits.
The programme includes practical rotations across CBB directorates, opportunities to participate in financial conferences and events, and intensive training courses, according to CBB director of human resources and programme manager Fatema Mohamed Ali.
Applications for the GP15 programme will open this month. Further updates will be shared on the CBB’s official website and social media platforms.
