Umer suffered vomiting that led to fluid entering his lungs, triggering the cardiovascular episode, according to journalist and TV host Waseem Badami.
Tributes from the entertainment industry poured in shortly after, with 'Jeeto Pakistan' host and actor Fahad Mustafa saying he was 'speechless' that 'Umer had left us.'
