Famous Turkish singer Gül Tut, known by her stage name Güllü, died Friday after falling from the sixth-floor balcony of her apartment in Yalova, Turkiye.
The unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of September 26. Authorities were immediately dispatched to the scene and later confirmed that she died upon impact.
Her daughter later took to social media to dispel any rumours of a suicide, writing: ‘We lost my mother, the renowned artist Güllü, in a terrible accident tonight. There is no truth to the suicide reports circulating on social media. I will share details about the funeral soon.’
Güllü was a widely celebrated singer, known for her resonant, heartfelt vocals, and her career included many hits throughout the 1990s. She was a household name in Turkish music.
