Grammy-nominated artist, DJ and producer Axwell will be headlining the October 3 concert at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix taking place in Malaysia next month.
The celebrated Swedish musician will take the stage on October 3, according to an announcement by Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
Axwell is the co-founder of Swedish House Mafia and Axwell & Ingrosso.
In 1995, he dropped his very first vinyl, adopting the moniker OXL. By the turn of the century, he emerged as a sought-after remixer, delivering popular remixes of songs including Burn by Usher, Ma, I Don’t Love Her by Clipse and Faith Evans, Maybe by N*E*R*D, Angel by Pharrell, Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado, and Jump by Madonna.
Axwell has also claimed a spot on DJ Mag’s ‘Top 100 DJs’ list nine times and won four DJ Awards.
The GDN previously reported that multi-platinum-selling hitmaker Martin Garrix will headline the post-race concert on Sunday, October 4.
Ticket upgrades for each concert will be available exclusively to race-weekend ticket holders who purchase their tickets by midnight tonight.
From tomorrow, ticket holders can upgrade for $50 (BD18.85) per person for the Axwell concert and $100 (BD37.7) per person for the Martin Garrix concert.
A separate ticket is required for each concert.
All concert ticket upgrades are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis due to the venue’s limited capacity.
Upgrade instructions will be sent directly to ticket holders by email.
Fans wishing to take advantage of the concert upgrade option are encouraged to purchase their race-weekend tickets by midnight tonight.
