Kuwait Customs officers charged an expat with smuggling as he allegedly tried to carry two cartons of cigarettes across the Kuwaiti border into Saudi Arabia.
Officers at the Nuwaiseeb Customs checkpoint prevented him from leaving the country after they discovered cartons of cigarettes concealed in his vehicle during a scan using inspection devices.
The man reportedly fainted upon being caught with the contraband.
Customs officials filed a smuggling case against him after he regained consciousness and impounded his car.
