FOOTBALL – BAHRAIN’S senior men’s football national team continued their training programme yesterday in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of their two international friendly matches in the coming days.
Head coach Dragan Talajic worked on technical and tactical aspects with his players at the external fields of Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
The nationals are scheduled to continue their practices tonight at the same venue ahead of their first tune-up game tomorrow against Morocco’s national team.
The game will be played at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium and it is scheduled for a 10pm kick-off, Bahrain time.
According to reports, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced on Monday that more than 42,000 tickets have been sold for the match.
Following tomorrow’s fixture, the Bahrainis are also set to play Egypt’s national team at the same venue on Sunday.
Bahrain are using the games to gear up for their upcoming competitions, headlined by the Fifa Arab Cup 2025 this November and December in Doha, Qatar.
Both Morocco and Egypt are also set to take part in the major regional competition.
Bahrain have 23 players in Rabat. They include Mohammed Jassim Marhoon, Ali Madan, Mahdi Abduljabbar, Sayed Dhiya Saeed, Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Mahdi Humaidan, Amine Benaddi, Abdulla Al Khalasi, Ahmed Bughammar, Sayed Mahmood Al Mosawi, Hazza Ali, Hussain Jameel, Vincent Emmanuel, Sayed Mahdi Sharaf, Jassim Al Shaikh, Omar Saber, Hussain Abdulkarim, Abdulla Al Subaie, Ahmed Dheyaa, and Ebrahim Al Khattal, along with goalkeepers Ebrahim Luthfallah, Yousef Habib, and Mohammed Elgharably
