Sheraton Bahrain Hotel staged a glittering event this week at the property’s Al Taj Grand Ballroom to impress guests with its warm hospitality in a new luxurious setting.
The evening featured an exclusive showcase of the reimagined ballroom, one of the largest in the city at 1,067sqm, since the property reopened in December last year, after undergoing extensive renovations and a complete transformation.
Sheraton Bahrain Hotel features an impressive 2,002sqm of meeting space, including the Al Taj Grand Ballroom, which can be divided into three sections – ideal for gatherings and events of all sizes, including weddings.
The space, not unlike the property, exhibits modern décor and a minimalist yet premium aesthetic, its designers say.
“It’s really nice to be here and welcome our guests to our renovated property,” said Sheraton Bahrain Hotel general manager Jurrien Bongers, who took over the reins of the five-star hotel in August having boasted 20 years of experience with the Marriott Hotels group.
“I see a lot of opportunities and believe that this is a Sheraton that has all the advantages to do very well in the future,” he added. “The ballroom has exceptional indoor and outdoor spaces and our rooms are stunning as well.
“We have superb signature outlets, including the popular Argentinian steakhouse Brasero Atlántico on the rooftop, as well as Golestan, our famous Iranian outlet that, I think, many guests have nostalgic memories about.
“We also have Wild offering delightful global cuisine. I believe most people are aware of its massively popular Friday brunch, which is almost sold out every week,” he added.
A selection of dishes from the venue’s diverse roster of restaurants were served at the ballroom event, taking attendees on an enriching gastronomical journey.
Live musical performances also featured, adding positive vibes to the hotel’s Gatherings by Sheraton programme, which fosters meaningful collaborations with local artists to elevate the guest experience.
“Diversified best defines our culinary offerings,” Sheraton Bahrain Hotel culinary director and food and beverage in charge Oliver Weber, added. “We have a mix of casual and destination outlets with beautiful views to complement the food.”
