The collective efforts of Bahraini entrepreneurs and owners of start-ups and small enterprises make the kingdom an ideal investment destination and an integrated regional centre for entrepreneurship, His Majesty King Hamad has said.
The King commended their determination in overcoming market challenges to achieve success and expand internationally while receiving – in the presence of his sons – senior Royal Family members, advisers, ministers, business leaders, citizens from different governorates, and achievers from the Industry and Commerce Ministry at Sakhir Palace yesterday.
His Majesty said that the meeting was dedicated to recognising Bahraini entrepreneurs and owners of start-ups and small enterprises, whose achievements extend beyond commercial success to meaningful contributions to the national economy through creative ideas, valuable investments and sustainable impact.
He highlighted the strong foundations of Bahrain’s private enterprise sector, built on modern systems and long-standing commercial traditions established by pioneering Bahraini traders who demonstrated the capability to develop a dynamic and thriving economy.
The positive performance of this vital sector reinforces confidence in Bahrain’s robust economic environment and healthy investment climate, supported by diverse services, advanced programmes and fruitful institutional co-operation, particularly with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
His Majesty extended appreciation to Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, the ministry’s staff as well as the chairman and members of the Bahrain Chamber for their efforts in enhancing the kingdom’s position as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.
