Kuwait’s Amir Shaikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Shaikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received the visiting President of UAE Shaikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday.
During the reception, both sides touched on the bilateral ties between the two countries and emphasising the importance of consolidating the frameworks of bilateral cooperation between in a way that serves their mutual interests, especially in the economic and development fields.
The Amir and Shaikh Mohammad bin Zayed affirmed support to all initiatives and efforts aimed at establishing the foundations of comprehensive and just peace based on the two-state solution and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to achieve security and stability in the region. The Amir and Shaikh Mohammad stressed the need for continued international efforts to recognise the Palestinian state to achieve all the aspirations and hopes of the brotherly Palestinian people. During the meeting, the most important issues of common Gulf interest were also discussed.
