His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has praised the key role of the US administration in ensuring regional security and promoting international peace.
He also commended US President Donald Trump for his role in the success of the Sharm el Sheikh Summit for Peace, the efforts to end the Gaza war and for advancing peace initiatives in the Middle East.
His Majesty highlighted the long-standing ties between the two countries as allies and partners when he received Vice Admiral Curt Renshaw, Commander of the United States Naval Forces Central Command and Fifth Fleet, at Sakhir Palace yesterday on the occasion of his appointment.
The King congratulated Vice Adm Renshaw on assuming his new role and wished him success in supporting Bahraini-American co-operation as well as advancing security and peace in the region.
He noted the continuous development of the growing bilateral co-operation, particularly in military and defence fields.
His Majesty emphasised that Bahraini-American relations are built on decades of trust, respect and shared goals.
Vice Adm Renshaw expressed gratitude for His Majesty’s efforts to enhance strategic relations and bilateral co-operation across all domains.
