Scammers are impersonating the General Directorate of Traffic and sending texts with fraudulent links for ‘payment of fines’, the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security warned yesterday.
People are being urged to avoid clicking on links provided on such messages and to only pay fines through verified applications and platforms.
Those who have fallen victim to such scams should contact the directorate on the 992 hotline.
