His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, yesterday met The Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, along with a number of senior delegates from the United Kingdom who are participating in the IISS Manama Dialogue 2025.
He highlighted the long-standing Bahrain-UK partnership, underpinned by a history of strategic partnerships and agreements across multiple sectors, including within military and defence.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the shared commitment of both nations to advancing co-operation to benefit both countries and their peoples.
He reiterated the depth of multilateral collaboration, including strategic partnerships and shared agreements such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), which the United Kingdom recently joined.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed the United Kingdom’s role, alongside its allies, in strengthening regional security and stability, and in contributing to regional and international peace and development.
Latest regional and international developments, along with issues of common interest raised during the forum, were discussed.
Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Defence Minister Lieutenant General Abdulla Al Nuaimi along with several senior officials also attended the meeting.
