BODYBUILDING – BAHRAIN claimed third place overall in the sixth West Asian Bodybuilding Championship, organised by the Bahrain Bodybuilding Federation (BBF) with the participation of 230 athletes representing seven countries.
The UAE secured first place, while Oman came second.
Bahrain’s athletes earned an impressive total of 24 medals, including 12 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze.
Gold medals were won by Mohammed Abduljaleel (master physique and physique 179cm), Khalid Al Saeedi (physique 176cm and overall champion), Abdulrahman Al Bastaki (physique 182cm), Ahmed Hubail (classic physique 180cm and overall champion), Abdullah Al Burshaid (classic bodybuilding 168cm), Ali Ebrahim (junior bodybuilding), Sayed Hadi Hashem (bodybuilding 70kg), and Khaled Jassim (bodybuilding 75kg and overall champion).
Silver medals went to Omar Janahi (physique 171cm), Abdulla Isa (physique 173cm), Mohammed Bukhalaf (classic physique 175cm and classic bodybuilding 175cm), Salman Al Thawadi (classic bodybuilding 168cm), and Mohammed Abdulameer Marhoon (bodybuilding 80kg).
Bronze medals were achieved by Abdullah Isa (master physique), Mohammed Jameel (classic physique 175cm), Hassan Al Ruwaie (classic bodybuilding 171cm), Mohammed Ali (classic bodybuilding 180cm), and Mohammed Naji (bodybuilding 85kg).
BBF president Sami Al Hadded expressed pride in the strong participation and high level of the competition. He affirmed that bodybuilding in Bahrain is progressing in the right direction, witnessing continuous growth in both technical performance and participation.
