MMA – MUHAMMAD ‘The Punisher’ Mokaev was last night crowned the first-ever BRAVE CF flyweight champion.
Mokaev secured his title as part of an historic evening for BRAVE Combat Federation. The Middle East’s only international mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation celebrated its monumental milestone event, BRAVE CF 100. The centennial show lit up Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, marking a full-circle moment for the organisation that began its journey in the kingdom back in 2016.
In the evening’s co-main event, Mokaev unleashed a barrage of strikes on Gerard ‘The Animal’ Burns early on in the second round, stunning his adversary en-route to claiming the 125lb gold.
In his post-fight speech, Mokaev once again reiterated that he would be watching last night’s main event title fight between Borislav Nikolic and ‘The Pride of Bahrain’ Hamza Kooheji very closely. And with Nikolic retaining his BRAVE CF bantamweight championship belt, there could be a scintillating champion-versus-champion showdown in 2026.
Nikolic comfortably and dominantly pushed the pace in the bout against Kooheji before ultimately stunning the entire venue into silence with a fourth-round delivery of strikes to his resilient opponent.
With that, Nikolic’s first title-defence is in the books, and he closes out his 2025 as one of the top bantamweights in the world of MMA.
Originally slated to feature nine action-packed bouts, BRAVE CF 100 saw a late change when the interim BRAVE CF super welterweight world championship clash between Mohammad Fakhreddine and Alex Lohore was removed from the card during Thursday’s official weigh-ins.
But during the event, Lohore was surprised with the interim championship. It was a moment welcomed by ‘Da Killa King’ and his team, and he swiftly made it clear that he plans to defend the title or use it as a means to secure a unification bout with champion Luiz Cado as soon as possible, even stating that he is ready for December or January 2026.
The night saw the best rising stars and veterans take to the cage, and they all looked to put on a show for the crowd that filled up Khalifa Sports City Arena.
From the first fight to the very last offering of this card, the sold-out crowd roared and cheered as the spectacular night unfolded.
With the BRAVE CF 100 chapter coming to a close, the next event is now only a matter of hours away. BRAVE CF 101: KHK Legacy II takes place tomorrow at the same venue.
