His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Malaysian King Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, on the sidelines of the Royal Bahrain Concours at the Royal Golf Club.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed that bilateral relations between Bahrain and Malaysia continue to go from strength to strength across a diverse range of sectors, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, and King Sultan Ibrahim.
He commended Malaysia’s comprehensive development and distinguished standing on both the regional and global stages. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the kingdom’s commitment to building upon the strategic foundations of the longstanding partnership, in support of the shared goals of progress and prosperity for both nations.
The meeting also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, discussed issues of common interest, and explored ways to enhance co-operation that achieves the aspirations of both countries and their peoples.
A lunch banquet was held in honour of the Malaysian monarch and the accompanying delegation’s official visit to Bahrain. Several senior officials were also in attendance.
