A platform that helps Bahraini youth develop their capabilities and enhance a spirit of positive competitiveness has been launched.
The Golden Meter is a pioneering, high-quality initiative by the Youth Affairs Ministry that documents the achievements and contributions of the youth, said minister Rawan Tawfiqi.
The smart platform also functions as a hub for collecting and analysing data and grants relevant entities access to promising Bahraini talents, she added in a statement yesterday.
“The Golden Meter is a strategic tool that enables young people to showcase their potential, and grants them opportunities to participate in developmental initiatives and strengthening their active presence in the nation-building process.
“This innovative service aligns with the inspiring vision led by His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
“It helps document Bahraini youth achievements and highlight their success stories in a way that contributes to building a national database which supports decision-makers in empowering young talent.
“It builds a spirit of positive competitiveness and constructive engagement.
“I urge young people to register for this service and benefit from its various advantages, which enables them to build a comprehensive personal profile that highlights their achievements.
“This enhances their chances of participating in major national programmes and initiatives.”

Ms Tawfiqi
She emphasised that the ministry believed in the capabilities of Bahraini youth and was keen to place them at the heart of the decision-making process.
The service is a comprehensive digital profile that displays points participants accumulate through achievements, and is presented in the form of an electronic CV.
It preserves the data within the ministry’s information database and enables government and private entities to easily access suitable candidates according to the needs of various programmes.
People can register for the service on www.mya.gov.bh and is open to all people up to 35 years old.
In order to sign up for the service, participants will need an eKey2.0 account, then fill out their personal information, including CPR number, contact details, address and more.
They will also have to fill out a health form, education form, work experience and add achievements with supporting certificates and documents.
The top 100 youth will be featured on the ‘Gold Standard’ list, based on the highest scores earned through various types of engagement, including volunteering hours, programme participation, certifications, awards and community contributions.
More than 100 individuals have already registered for the programme, and are being featured on the list, available at www.mya.gov.bh/en/leaderboard.
