ENDURANCE HORSERACING – Team Victorious secured the top three positions at the National Day Endurance Cup, held as part of the National Day Endurance Ride Championship.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa claimed the top spot while Emirati rider Aisha Badr Al Naqbi was second and Isa Hameed Al Anezi third.
His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the event, which was organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, with wide participation from riders and stables.
The event was also attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to the UAE.
Shaikh Nasser said that the National Day Endurance Ride Championship reflects the development of Bahraini sport and contributes to strengthening the kingdom’s presence at the regional and international levels, supported by the leadership’s continued backing of the sports sector.
He noted that endurance sport in Bahrain continues to record progress and achievements as a result of institutional work and sustained support for riders, as well as technical and organisational professionals, adding that the results achieved reflect structured preparation and qualification based on high standards.
Shaikh Nasser also commended the technical level of the championship, the organisation, and the wide participation across the races, congratulating the winners.
The 120 kilometres race featured strong competition and high technical performance from the opening stages through to the finish.
At the conclusion of the race, the winners were crowned during the honouring ceremony.
