Bahrain reaffirmed its support for regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a political and sustainable solution in Venezuela, within a framework of regional co-operation and respect for national sovereignty, in a manner that ensures security and stability in the country, spares it the risks of conflict and division, safeguards civil peace, and contributes to preserving regional security and stability as well as maintaining international peace and security.This came in the statement delivered by Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaie during the emergency briefing session of the United Nations Security Council held under the agenda item ‘Threats to international peace and security’ to discuss developments in Venezuela .
