His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has praised the National Guard as a bulwark safeguarding Bahrain’s security and stability.
“We are proud of the National Guard’s achievements and patriotic efforts, the King said marking the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the military organisation.
Responding to a cable of congratulations from National Guard Commander General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Majesty commended its co-operation with the Bahrain Defence Force and Bahrain Police in protecting the kingdom and supporting its development and prosperity, wishing all National Guard personnel continued success in carrying out their national duties.
In the cable, Gen Shaikh Mohammed extended his congratulations and best wishes and expressed appreciation for His Majesty’s continued support.
He noted that, under His Majesty’s leadership, the National Guard has become a key pillar of security and stability and a contributor to the kingdom’s progress and development.
The National Guard Commander affirmed that the National Guard will continue to carry out its national duties with high efficiency and full readiness, in line with His Majesty’s directives.
He highlighted its role as a supporting military force to the BDF and a key partner to the Bahrain Police in safeguarding national achievements, maintaining security, and ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens and residents.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, received a similar cable of congratulations from Gen Shaikh Mohammed.
He congratulated Gen Shaikh Mohammed and all National Guard personnel, commending their achievements in realising the vision and aspirations of the King.
He commended the dedicated efforts of the commander and all personnel, that have strengthened the National Guard’s readiness and efficiency.
Gen Shaikh Mohammed said that the National Guard continues to develop its human and military capabilities under the leadership of His Majesty and the support of HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, in implementing strategic development plans across all parts of the National Guard.
His Majesty, HRH Prince Salman and Gen Shaikh Mohammed received cables of congratulations from Royal Family members, senior ministers and government officials on the anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard.
