Institute of Public Administration (IPA) director general Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa has been elected as a member of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) for the 2025-2028 term.
She will represent public administration institutes in the Middle East.
Expressing her pride, Dr Shaikha Rana said the recognition reflects global confidence in Bahrain’s leadership and capabilities in administrative development and institutional capacity building.
This is in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad and the government’s direction under His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Her election highlights Bahrain’s advanced standing internationally, its notable achievements in public administration and the high calibre of national competencies, she said.
Dr Shaikha Rana affirmed the kingdom’s role as an effective partner in shaping the future of public administration globally.
She added that representing Bahrain in IASIA will enhance regional and international partnerships, facilitate the exchange of best practices, improve government service quality and support the institute’s continued efforts in developing national talent and adopting global best practices in governance and management.
This will further reinforce Bahrain’s position as a leading hub for administrative development at regional and international levels, Dr Shaikha Rana added.
