ATHLETICS – HAPPY Team runners excelled in the Amex Half Marathon 2026, organised by the Bahrain Road Runners in co-operation with the Bahrain Athletics Association.
More than 1,000 participants of various nationalities – including citizens, residents, and visitors from outside the kingdom – took part in the 21.1-kilometre event.
Happy Team competed with more than 40 runners. Amongst their top finishers were Sami Alshehabi, who clinched first place in the men’s 60 to 69 category with a time of one hour 27 minutes and 26 seconds; team captain Karim Turki, who came second in the same division in 1:39:27; Najwa Abdulrahim, who was the runner-up in the women’s 60 to 69 age group in 2:32:04; and Noor Alhulaibi, who came third in the women’s 30 to 39 category in 1:41:47.
Turki expressed his pride in Happy Team’s results. He praised the wide participation of their squad members and their continuous commitment to training, which contributed to their impressive technical level.
