The Shura council formally welcomed a delegation from the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Society, whose board members yesterday attended the session as guests of honour.
Shura secretary-general Kareema Al Abbasi delivered a welcoming address on behalf of Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh.
She said the visit reflected the spirit of partnership and co-operation between the legislative authority and economic civil society institutions, stressing the importance of exchanging views, ideas and proposals that contribute to strengthening economic legislation in Bahrain.
“This visit embodies constructive collaboration and a shared commitment to supporting legislation that enhances the business environment and promotes sustainable economic growth,” Ms Al Abbasi said.
She underlined the Shura Council’s continued support for initiatives aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and reinforcing their vital role in sustaining economic development in the kingdom.
The visiting delegation was headed by Bahrain SMEs Society chairman Dr Abdulhassan Al Dairi and other members of the society’s board of directors.
Meanwhile, the council was notified about the Moroccan Chambre De Conseillers chairman Mohammed Wald El Rasheed’s official visit to Bahrain from today until Thursday following an invitation from Mr Al Saleh.
