Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), received Elie Farhat, Associate Dean, Chief of External Affairs at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in the USA, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and institutional cooperation in the fields of training, capacity building and executive education.
During the meeting, the Director General emphasised the importance of enhancing partnerships with international universities and academic institutions, in a manner that supports the development of training and executive programmes, promotes the exchange of expertise and best practices, and contributes to the preparation of national leaders and the enhancement of institutional performance, in line with the strategic directions of the IPA.
The meeting also reviewed opportunities for joint cooperation in the design and implementation of specialised training and executive programmes, and discussed mechanisms to expand areas of collaboration with various sectors to achieve shared objectives.
For his part, Farhat expressed his appreciation for the role played by the IPA in developing competencies and building capacities, affirming his keenness to strengthen cooperation in the fields of training and executive education.
