An Asian expatriate wanted for allegedly embezzling company assets has been returned to Bahrain to face justice, the Interior Ministry has announced in a statement.
The suspect was extradited by the International Affairs and Interpol Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, in co-ordination with Public Prosecution and the Southern Police.
The action was carried out from an unspecified foreign country after the release of an international notice based on a local arrest warrant, issued by the Public Prosecution in Bahrain.
The suspect has been handed over to the relevant authorities.
