His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has praised the 100 institutions that have employed the most Bahrainis in 2025.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted that creating quality job opportunities for Bahrainis remains a priority when he met the representatives of those companies at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.
This is being implemented through programmes and initiatives that strengthen national workforce participation in the kingdom’s development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed the national commitment to continuing to invest in social services that support Bahraini citizens.
He emphasised that the private sector is a key partner and driver in achieving the kingdom’s economic development goals, particularly through creating jobs for Bahrainis and enhancing the labour market to meet the kingdom’s aspirations.
In implementation of HRH Prince Salman’s directive to the Labour Ministry, three opportunities were offered to all job-seekers registered with the ministry, with 5,078 citizens employed under the initiative to date.
These outcomes have played a vital role towards strengthening the kingdom’s labour market for the last year, which showed that 26,963 Bahrainis were employed, achieving 108 per cent of the annual target of employing 25,000 Bahrainis annually.
New entrants to the labour market reached 9,149 Bahrainis, representing 114pc of the annual target of having 8,000 new Bahrainis entering the labour market.
Additionally, the Cabinet tasked the ministry with increasing efforts that aim to employ 25,000 Bahrainis during 2026, ensuring that 10,000 of these are new entrants to the labour market during the same year, through strengthening existing partnership and co-operation with the private sector.
HRH Prince Salman expressed his appreciation to all the companies and institutions for their contributions in employing Bahrainis.
He commended their co-operation and affirmed that they are an essential part of Team Bahrain, thanks to their support of all programmes that serve the interests of the kingdom and its citizens.
HRH Prince Salman expressed his pride in the ongoing and long-standing partnership between the public and private sectors.
This has historically contributed to strengthening the kingdom’s development, he added.
He stressed the importance of continuing this collaboration to further advance the kingdom’s development and deliver tangible benefits for the kingdom and its citizens.
The owners of the companies and institutions present expressed their gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s support of the private sector and his commitment to strengthening public-private sector partnerships to achieve the kingdom’s aspirations.
