National Security Adviser, Royal Guard Commander and Supreme Defence Council Secretary General Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the meeting of the members of the council’s General Secretariat.
Deputy National Security Adviser and council deputy secretary general Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa was present.
Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser reviewed the achievements of 2025, including the development of work mechanisms and the strengthening of co-ordination and institutional readiness to meet the requirements of the next phase, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser noted that these directives underscore national security as a fundamental pillar of stability and development, and a shared responsibility that requires the highest levels of preparedness and integration among national entities.
He also commended the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser highlighted the importance of the General Secretariat’s role in consolidating the foundations of the national security system.
He noted that national responsibility requires continuing to harness all capabilities and means to keep pace with challenges and changes to ensure the sustainability of national gains.
