His Majesty King Hamad has accepted an invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the Board of Peace, the Foreign Ministry has announced.
The ministry said the kingdom’s decision reflects its commitment to support the full implementation of President Trump’s 20-point peace plan for the Gaza Strip, considering the importance of the plan for protecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
It also expressed His Majesty’s appreciation for the US President’s efforts to achieve sustainable peace in the region and the world.
The ministry expressed hope the board will achieve its goals of promoting co-operation, supporting stability and achieving development and prosperity for all.
