BASKETBALL – THE Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) held a gathering of under-23 players to participate in training led by Serbian coach and BBA 3x3 technical director Bogdan Dragovic.
It comes within the BBA’s plans to form a 3x3 basketball team that will be representing the kingdom in upcoming regional and international tournaments. Dragovic is conducting the practices at the BBA Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex, in line with the requirements of the 3x3 game, which is characterised by quickness, individual skills, and swift decision-making in tight spaces.
3x3 basketball is receiving increasing attention within the BBA’s development strategy due to its strong presence on the international stage and its official adoption within the programmes of the International Basketball Federation (Fiba), in addition to being one of the sports included in the Olympic Games.
