CRICKET – FLYING Fighters emerged as champions of the Silver Cup T10, organised by Tornado Bahrain Cricket Club, after registering a convincing seven-wicket victory over Challengers Bahrain in the final.
Batting first in the 10-over final, Challengers posted 96 for six to set a modest target. In reply, Flying Fighters chased down the total in emphatic fashion, reaching 97 for three in just 6.3 overs.
The chase was powered by a sensational unbeaten knock from Manu Mohanan, who scored 70 not out, displaying exceptional timing and composure. His match-winning innings earned him the Player of the Match award in the title clash.
In the third-place match, Southern Royal delivered a dominant performance, defeating BUCC by 54 runs to secure a spot in the top three.
A number of individual awards were also given out in the Silver Cup T10. Southern Royal’s Saeed Anwar was named the Player of the Tournament, while teammates Muhammed Anshad was selected as Best Bowler and Muhammad Murtaza as Best Batter.
The presentation ceremony was attended by officials from Santy Excavation and Construction, the Bahrain Cricket Federation, Shaheen Group, and the Bahrain Tennis Cricket Organisation.
