HANDBALL – AL Shabab battled past Al Dair 37-33 last night in their matchweek 15 contest of the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
The game was played at the Bahrain Handball Federation Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex with no fans in attendance. Shabab held a slim 20-18 lead at the half and did well to hold on to their advantage over the remainder of the contest.
With the result, Shabab improved to 38 points in second place on the league table with their 12th win in 14 outings.
They handed Dair their eighth loss to go with six victories as they went to 26 points in fifth place amongst the kingdom’s 11 clubs.
League action continues tonight and tomorrow. This evening, defending champions and currently undefeated Al Najma face off with Barbar at 9pm in a mouth-watering clash between two teams in the top four. That will be followed by Bahrain Club taking on Al Tadhamun at 10.30pm.
Tomorrow, Al Ettifaq go up against Samaheej at 9pm in the lone fixture of the night.
