BASKETBALL – MUHARRAQ and Manama will be looking to complete clean sweeps of their best-of-three semi-final series tonight in the 2025-26 Khalifa Bin Salman Cup.
Both teams were triumphant in game one of their match-ups, with Muharraq edging past Al Ahli 93-87 and Manama outplaying Al Najma 78-66 in the first games of their head-to-head battles.
Muharraq and Ahli clash in their second game at 10.30pm today at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, to be preceded by Manama and Najma locking horns at 8.30pm at the same venue.
Both fixtures will be played without fans in attendance. Ahli will be looking to extend their series to a decisive third game, as will Najma. If needed, they will be held on Wednesday next week.
Muharraq are aiming to become back-to-back champions in the prestigious annual tournament. They won the crown twice in the past and are hoping to match the record three titles currently held by Manama and Ahli.
Najma, on the other hand, are looking to lift the Khalifa Bin Salman Cup for the first time.
