HANDBALL – AL Ettifaq edged Samaheej 34-33 last night in a tightly contested gameweek 15 clash in the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
Ettifaq led 17-16 at the half and managed to hold on to their slim, single-goal advantage over the remainder of the game to come away with only their fourth win of the season after 14 outings. They improved to 22 points but stayed amongst the three bottom clubs on the 11-team standings.
Samaheej suffered their 12th loss and went to 18 points.
In another gameweek 15 contest, Al Tadhamun outclassed Bahrain Club 34-22. Tadhamun held a commanding 20-9 lead at the half and stayed in control over the remainder of the contest.
Tadhamun claimed their sixth win in 13 games and improved to 26 points, while handing Bahrain Club their league-worst 13th loss and they went to 16 points.
Both games were played at the Bahrain Handball Federation Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex without any fans in attendance.
