His Majesty King Hamad performed Eid Al Fitr prayers yesterday.
His Majesty, along with the attendees, listened to the Eid sermon delivered by Sunni Endowments Council chairman Dr Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri.
He highlighted that, despite the challenges facing the kingdom, Eid remains an occasion to express joy and gratitude for the blessings of security and stability.
He also underscored the importance of unity, cohesion and standing firmly with the kingdom’s leadership.
Dr Shaikh Al Hajeri paid tribute to the kingdom’s servicemen stationed at its borders, commending their dedication to safeguarding the nation and its security.
The sermon also addressed the recent Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom, describing them as a flagrant violation of all norms and laws, endangering lives and spreading fear among civilians. Dr Shaikh Al Hajeri praised Bahrain’s leadership for its efforts and the broad international support reflected in the United Nations Security Council resolution, backed by 136 countries.
The resolution condemned the Iranian attacks on GCC states and Jordan and called for their immediate cessation, as well as an end to all forms of provocation or threats against neighbouring states.
Dr Shaikh Al Hajeri concluded with prayers for the continued success of His Majesty and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He also prayed for the kingdom’s servicemen stationed in defence of its security, asking that Allah Almighty accept the fasting and good deeds of all, grant many blessed returns of the holy month of Ramadan and protect Bahrain and all Muslim nations from harm.
Following the prayers, His Majesty exchanged Eid greetings with attendees, expressing appreciation for their kind sentiments.
He also extended his congratulations to the people of Bahrain on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, praying that it returns with continued prosperity, blessings and progress for the kingdom, and with advancement for the Arab and Islamic nations.
Attendees, in turn, extended their sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty, praying for his health, happiness and long life, and for his ongoing success in leading the kingdom’s development process.
His Majesty conveyed his greetings on the occasion, wishing everyone a blessed Eid and expressing hope that the coming days would further inspire achievement and continued national contributions in service of Bahrain.
