GCC air defence systems successfully intercepted many Iranian attacks yesterday targeting energy facilities and vital infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia’s defence ministry reported that around 69 hostile drones were launched towards the kingdom’s Eastern Province.
The attacks were described as part of ongoing Iranian escalation targeting neighbouring countries without justification.
The official ministry spokesperson, Major General Turki Al Maliki, stated in Press briefings that five drones were intercepted and destroyed over the Eastern Province, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
In the UAE, air defence systems intercepted three ballistic missiles and eight drones launched from Iran, Wam reported yesterday.
The news agency added that since the start of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted 341 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,748 drones.
Kuwait’s defence ministry announced that its air defences intercepted missile and drone attacks targeting the country early yesterday.
