His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, yesterday visited the injured who are receiving medical care following the recent hostile Iranian attacks.
He was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Royal Medical Services Commander Brigadier Doctor Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The visit underscored His Majesty’s keenness to personally follow up on the condition of the injured and follow up on their treatment.
His Majesty exchanged cordial conversations with them and commended the dedicated efforts of the medical teams in providing comprehensive care and treatment.
The King emphasised that those who sacrifice for Bahrain and its people will not be forgotten and will remain an enduring example for future generations.
The servicemen were injured in an Iranian attack that claimed the life of a Moroccan civilian contractor in the UAE Armed Forces, as reported in yesterday’s GDN.
Bahrain will continue to be a nation of peace and harmony, supported by the unity of its people and their firm rejection of the Iranian hostile attacks, the King added.
His Majesty also praised BDF for its courage and professionalism in countering Iranian attacks.
His Majesty highlighted the high levels of competence, discipline and responsibility demonstrated by its personnel.
His Majesty affirmed that the BDF will continue to serve as a strong shield safeguarding the kingdom’s security and stability.
• The BDF General Command announced that its air defence systems have intercepted and destroyed 153 ballistic missiles and 331 drones targeting Bahrain.
