FOOTBALL – Bahrain’s senior men’s football national team played a scrimmage last night as part of their ongoing local training gathering.
The 30-player roster was divided into two squads for the informal contest, which was held over a full match’s duration and was played at the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) pitches in Riffa, under the supervision of head coach Dragan Talajic.
All of the team’s members were fielded in the affair.
In attendance for the scrimmage were BFA vice-president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa and BFA board member Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The nationals are scheduled to play another scrimmage on Monday as part of their training period.
Bahrain are currently preparing for their major upcoming competitions, among which are the 27th Gulf Cup – which they will be entering as defending champions – scheduled for later this year, and the AFC Asian Cup 2027, set for January.
