Emergency alerts will now be sent with a notification tone during overnight hours
Our country is at war right now, so everyone must stay alert. Many night-shift workers are out traveling, especially cleaning staff working through the night. Mobile alerts are meant to keep us safe, but if they’re only sent as notifications, how will people hear them? Sometimes it’s just a faint beep. God bless the defense team, and may everyone stay safe.

It should be 24 hours and for those who don’t want to be disturbed by alarm, please just turn your phone off. It is really important that we are all notified by the alarm so we can make plans easily and make way, especially now that we are all in the middle of this war. Stay safe to all
@waray_1997
I second that. I prefer to be sleep deprived but alert.
@pottosina
Really, much needed action.
@abbasi_msaleem
Government policies do not change according to people’s wishes, and it is not safe. People should be aware of the risks.
@wajeeh_ur786
I understand the goal is to reduce disturbance, but the purpose of an emergency alert is to be loud enough to save lives. Many of us are at work during these hours and might not notice a quiet tone until it’s too late. Safety must come first.
@jerseyrhytz25
I prefer the annoying alarm because my apartment is almost entirely made of glass and at night, I never hear the alarms to move to our safe place.
@yussyurrutia
It’s for public safety though. Why the need of adjusting it when it clearly says ‘Emergency alert’? Where is the sense of urgency?
@hazelgracelancaster03
This is a very bad idea in this kind of situation, we’re talking about lives.. alert is to raise awareness of everyone who needs to be in a safe place. What’s the purpose of this alert if it is not used properly?
