Bahrain’s military and security forces will continue to stand as a robust line of defence – fully equipped, firmly committed, and ready to confront any threat to the nation, it was stated yesterday.
Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa made the remarks during a meeting with National Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa affirmed the strength and resilience of Bahrain’s defence system, noting that with the support of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the continued oversight of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, the kingdom’s military and security institutions remain highly vigilant and fully prepared.
He stressed that personnel across the BDF, the National Guard, and other relevant agencies operate in close co‑ordination, reflecting strong cohesion, high operational readiness and disciplined professionalism.
The Commander-in-Chief also highlighted the vital national responsibility entrusted to these institutions in safeguarding lives and property and in upholding the kingdom’s security and stability.
Meanwhile, the National Communication Centre confirmed that Bahrain Defence Force air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 16 drones in the past 24 hours, according to the latest updates from the BDF General Command.
The total number of missiles and drones intercepted and destroyed since the beginning of Iran’s hostile aggression against the kingdom now stands at 188 missiles and 445 drones.
