The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in Riyadh Region announced that it has raised its readiness level and declared full alert to respond to rainy conditions and weather fluctuations affecting the region.
The move is part of its operational plan for rainfall and flood scenarios, ensuring the availability of all resources and capabilities.
SRCA confirmed the readiness of ambulance stations and the deployment of emergency teams. A total of 143 ambulance units and 25 rapid response teams have been allocated, along with regional response vehicles to handle multiple-casualty incidents.
These measures aim to ensure rapid response and the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services.
SRCA urged the public to follow instructions issued by relevant authorities and adhere to safety measures during rainfall. It stressed avoiding flood channels and water accumulation areas, observing traffic safety rules, and ensuring clear access for ambulance teams.
It added that the emergency number 997, as well as the “Asifny,” “Tawakkalna,” and “Absher” applications, are available around the clock for emergency situations.
