Chinese carmaker Seres has sparked headlines with its 'go with the flow' invention and a patent for the first-ever in-vehicle toilet.
Designed for long road trips or heavy traffic, the toilet feature slides out from under a passenger seat for quick relief on the go. Engineers stated the aim is to "satisfy users' needs on long journeys, while camping, or while staying in the car," with the system intended to operate via voice-activated commands.
The toilet includes a fan and exhaust pipe to eliminate odours inside the vehicle. Additionally, a rotating heating element helps evaporate liquid and dry out waste particles. As the waste is collected in a tank, it still requires manual emptying.
When not in use, the unit is seamlessly concealed beneath the seat to ensure maximum space and comfort for passengers.
