A birthday party at a gym in India's Uttar Pradesh turned into a scene of horrific bloodshed after a gym trainer allegedly shot three youths dead. The violence followed an argument that broke out when they smeared cake on his face against his wishes.
The Indian Express newspaper reported that the incident took place during the birthday celebrations of a gym trainer named Jeetu. An argument between two groups escalated into gunfire involving the trainer and his associates.
The deceased have been identified as Amar Saini, 26, Manish Saini, 23, and Akash Saini, 22. All three were members of the same family and regular attendees at the gym.
Ten men have been charged with murder and rioting. Three of the accused are currently in custody, while the others continue to evade arrest.
Multiple police teams have been formed to trace and arrest the remaining suspects, according to a police official.
