MOTORSPORT – The season-finale of National Race Day, featuring an exciting double-header with two of the kingdom’s most competitive circuit racing championships, takes place today at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
Hitting the tarmac along BIC’s 2.554-kilometre Inner Track at ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’ are the concluding rounds of the 2025-26 Bahrain Touring Car Challenge (BTCC) and the 2025-26 Bahrain Motorcycle Championship (BMC).
Action is to be held under the circuit’s bright, state-of-the-art floodlights from 4pm to around 11pm – making for a stunning spectacle of night racing with twice the thrills.
All are welcome to attend and watch the exciting wheel-to-wheel battles. Tickets are BD2 for adults and BD1 for children. They can be purchased online at bahraingp.com, through the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000, or at the gate.
Race-goers will get to watch both series from BIC’s Beyon Grandstand, offering fantastic views of key parts of the circuit, including the Inner Straight where the start and finish lines are located.
The meeting is being organised and run by BIC in co-operation with the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Circuit Racing Commission, and the Bahrain Motorcycle Commission.
BTCC practice kicks off the evening’s programme at 5.30pm, to be followed by qualifying at 6.45pm. The round will then be headlined by two 15-lap races – the first flagging off at 8pm with race two then taking place at 10pm as the night’s final session.
The BTCC field is expected to be spearheaded by Ali Almansoori, who has swept all 12 races held so far leading up to the championship’s finale.
The BMC, meanwhile, will see action in both the 1,000cc and 600cc categories.
BMC practice is scheduled for 6.05pm, while qualifying will take place at 7.35pm. The round’s sole 14-lap race is then set for a 9pm start.
Winners from the BMC’s previous meeting were Saeed Al Sulaiti in the 1,000cc class and Mohamad Alzaidan in the 600cc.
