CYCLING – BAHRAIN Victorious Development Team rider Seth Dunwoody climbed the podium as runner-up in the 84th In Flanders Fields-In Ieper/Kattekoers road race in Belgium.
The one-day event was contested by elite under-23 men’s competitors and it featured a distance of 186.2 kilometres.
Dunwoody finished in second place as part of a large group that made a sprint to the finish. The Irishman crossed the line just behind winner Cameron Rogers of Ineos Grenadiers Racing Academy, who triumphed in a total time of four hours 19 minutes and 12 seconds.
Rogers and Dunwoody were joined on the podium by Enaut Urkaregi of Lidl-Trek Future Racing.
Amongst Bahrain Victorious Development Team’s other members, Austrian Valentin Hofer was 20th, Belgian Leander de Gendt came 47th, and Italian Leonardo Consolidani was classified 65th, while Elia Andreaus, also from Italy, and Belarusian Mikita Babovich both did not finish.
