His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) chairman has commended the board’s achievements in 2025, which reflect its vital role in supporting economic development and enhancing Bahrain’s international and regional competitiveness.
“These achievements reflect the national efforts of Team Bahrain, as well as their efficiency, adaptability and ability to continue delivering under various circumstances. They also strengthen the foundations of economic growth, expand quality opportunities, enhance productivity levels, and reinforce the sustainability of economic diversification in support of the kingdom’s development aspirations,” HRH Prince Salman said, as he chaired the board of directors meeting in Bahrain Bay.
He highlighted the importance of continuing national efforts undertaken by Team Bahrain to follow global economic developments, transforming any challenges into positive opportunities that support the kingdom’s comprehensive development goals, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
The meeting reviewed Bahrain EDB’s 2026 objectives, as well as the latest developments in attracting investment across priority sectors.
Discussions also covered future initiatives to promote Bahrain’s competitive advantages in key international markets, strengthen the kingdom’s global investment position, and highlight the resilience of Bahrain’s economy in the face of evolving challenges.
HRH Prince Salman underscored that Bahraini citizens remain at the heart of all the kingdom’s far-reaching development plans and programmes, noting their importance as the primary drivers of growth.
He commended Bahrain EDB’s role in meeting its investment goals and advancing economic diversification, supporting the creation of quality job opportunities across the kingdom’s key development sectors.
In this regard, he stressed that Bahrain’s competitiveness in attracting quality investments reinforces ongoing efforts to strengthen the kingdom’s investment position.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and several senior officials attended the meeting.
