Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower has announced revised working hours for the summer, reducing the standard workday to six hours.
From June 2 until August 31, morning-shift employees may report for duty between 7am and 8am and must leave after completing six hours of work, with a 30-minute grace period available for arrivals after 8am.
Female employees are entitled to a 15-minute early departure time daily, which increases by an additional 30 minutes if the morning grace period is not utilised.
Evening-shift staff may only work between 5pm and 9.30pm, totalling four and a half working hours per day, with a 30-minute grace period for arrival.
The move aims to regulate summer working hours and promote a more efficient and flexible work environment during the hottest months of the year.
