A total of 197 students from Britus International School Bahrain (BISBH), a K-12 curriculum school, celebrated their graduation yesterday at the Bahrain National Theatre in Manama.
The graduation of the 18th cohort, the Class of 2026, was attended by the school’s board members and management, representatives from the Education Ministry, administrative and teaching staff, and families of the graduates.
The ministry’s director of licensing and monitoring of private schools Lulwa Al-Muhanna, BISBH chairman and GFH chief executive officer Hisham Alrayes, and the school’s acting principal Amal Al Halwachi were also present.
Mr Alrayes presented the GFH Special Achievement Scholarships totalling $10,000 to the six top performers, recognising excellence across both the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma track and the American track.
The students are Noor Fatima Sami Rashdan, Zaina Ramii Ammari, Nujood Khaled Dashqooni, Samaa Ahmed Shawqi, Retaj Assad Ghazwani and Marah Salah Ali.
On the occasion, Ms Al Halwachi stated that the ceremony marks a proud milestone for the graduates and their families.
“We celebrate the largest graduating cohort in the school’s history, an achievement that reflects the school’s growth and its continued journey in supporting and empowering students,” she said.
“We also celebrate the culmination of years of dedication, perseverance and academic growth.
“At BISBH, we remain committed to nurturing well-rounded students equipped with the knowledge, confidence and values needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
“We are immensely proud of the Class of 2026 and look forward to witnessing the positive impact they will make in their future academic and professional journeys.”
Meanwhile, Mr Alrayes said that it was a privilege to celebrate this important milestone with the graduating Class of 2026.
“Their achievements reflect not only their hard work and ambition, but also the commitment of their families, teachers, and the wider school community in supporting their success,” he added.
“At GFH, we firmly believe in the importance of investing in education and empowering future generations to lead with purpose, innovation, and excellence.
“We extend our sincere congratulations to all graduates and wish them continued success as they embark on the next chapter of their journeys.”
BISBH is accredited by the Council of International Schools, holds membership with the International Accreditation Organisation, and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
