THE Cabinet has commended the Royal Order issued by His Majesty King Hamad establishing and forming the National Resilience Documentation Committee, tasked with documenting the hostile Iranian attacks against Bahrain.
The Cabinet affirmed that the Royal Order would establish a documented national narrative reflecting the unity of the kingdom’s leadership and the people in confronting challenges.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday chaired the weekly meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.
The session also welcomed the announcement by the Asian Racing Federation (ARF) elevating the Bahrain International Trophy to international Group 1 status.
Ministers commended the efforts of Prime Minister’s Court Minister and Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club high committee chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on this accomplishment that enhances Bahrain’s position as a global hub for equestrian sports and horseracing.
Marking International Day of Women in Diplomacy, the Cabinet highlighted the achievements and distinguished contributions of Bahraini women in diplomacy.
On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Cabinet also highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to combat substance abuse, commending the Interior Ministry, security institutions and the relevant authorities for adopting initiatives that raise public awareness of the dangers of drugs and enhance community protection.
The Cabinet then reviewed the measures undertaken by the relevant ministries and government entities in preparation for Ashoora to ensure its success.
It then reviewed several memorandums submitted by ministerial committees and ministers, approving the following:
1. A memorandum of understanding between the governments of Bahrain and Seychelles regarding co-operation in fisheries and aquaculture.
2. A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and the Gulf University.
3. A memorandum of understanding between the National Institution for Human Rights and the Institute of Public Administration.
4. The government’s response to several proposals submitted by Parliament.
The Cabinet also reviewed the following:
1. Developments on the implementation of the Ministry of Works’ priorities under the Government Programme (2023-2026).
2. Statistics regarding the performances of the courts and enforcement for 2024 and 2025.
The Cabinet was also briefed on several reports.
