PARLIAMENT secretary general Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain has been elected vice president of the Association of Secretaries General of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) Member States and a member of its executive bureau.
The election took place during the 20th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC), held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Mr Al Buainain extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He said his election by consensus reflects the confidence of the association’s members and Bahrain’s role in supporting regional and international parliamentary co-operation.
