The Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications stated that Bahrain will be affected, as of Thursday, June 25, by notable activity in northwesterly winds, with wind speeds expected to range from moderate to strong and may reach occasionally strong during daytime hours, with continued impact over the following days.
The Directorate explained that these winds will lead to a relative decrease in humidity levels, contributing to an improved perceived temperature, despite the continuation of hot weather during this period. It also warned that the winds may cause blowing dust and sand in some exposed areas, resulting in a temporary reduction in horizontal visibility.
With regard to marine activities, forecasts indicate that sea waves may rise at times, particularly in open waters due to the activity of northwesterly winds, which may render conditions unsuitable for some marine activities during this period.
The Meteorological Directorate called on the public, especially sea-goers, to exercise caution and follow weather bulletins and official warnings issued through authorised channels to ensure their safety.
